This review involved a wide ranging public consultative process and has resulted in the development of a comprehensive suite of initiatives that focus on the issues that are emerging in Commonwealth fisheries.
Looking to the Future will plot the course for the long-term sustainable use and development of Australia's fisheries resources and is a useful complement to the policy and management framework outlined in 'New Directions for Commonwealth Fisheries Management in the 1990s'.
