Winners 2006
Since the Science and InnovationAwards began in 2001, they have directly supported the careers and innovative ideas of one hundred young people throughout Australia.
The future competitiveness of Australian agriculture depends on the ability of our rural industries to adapt and innovate. The Awards encourage young scientists and innovators to generate the ideas that keep Australia at the forefront of scientific and technological excellence.
The former Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and the former Minister for Fisheries, Forestry and Conservation, presented the winners of the 2006 Science and Innovation Awards for Young People in Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry at a function at Parliament House on Wednesday 11 October 2006.
