Australia New Zealand Land Information Council (ANZLIC)
The peak intergovernmental organisation providing leadership in the collection, management and use of spacial information in Australia and New Zealand.
Commonwealth Office of Spatial Data Management (OSDM)
A wide range of information about the Commonwealth's spatial data policy, including details about OSDM and related cross-portfolio coordination bodies.
- monitor, and report to the Spatial Data Policy Executive (SDPE) on, implementation of the Policy;
- prepare and submit to SDPE for approval, an annual workplan;
- act as a reference group for the OSDM in the implementation of that workplan;
- consider, and recommend to the SDPE for approval, changes to the Data Schedule, and access and pricing, custodians and sponsors;
- provide for representation of the Australian Government on ANZLIC sub-committees and other appropriate spatial data coordination forums;
- monitor and maintain linkages with major Australian Government initiatives, such as Natural Resource Management and the Natural Heritage Trust, for which spatial data is a key resource to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to provide for those resources; and
- monitor, and advise the SDPE on, the needs and expectations of the spatial data user community.
Intergovernmental Committee on Survey and Mapping
Responsible for government surveying and mapping functions in their jurisdiction from all the Australian States, Territories, the Commonwealth and New Zealand Members.
