The Scheme: Quarantine Approved Premises - Class One Sea and Air Freight Depots Scheme
The Quarantine Approved Premises - Class One Sea and Air Freight Depots Scheme (The Scheme) is limited to Quarantine Approved Premises (QAP) that have been approved as Class One Sea and Air Freight Depots under Sections 46A of the Quarantine Act 1908 (Cwlth).
Under the Scheme, certain pre-requisites must be met by the Other Party as a signatory to the Scheme:
- The Other Party must hold a current registration for a Quarantine Approved Premises under section 46A of the Act.
- The Other Party must have AQIS approved waste disposal procedures for quarantine waste in place.
- The Other Party must employ or utilise a minimum of two Accredited Persons to carry out the activities specifically designated to an Accredited Person within the Quarantine Approved Premises – Class One Sea and Air Freight Depots Scheme Operational Procedures Statements (OPS).
