Biosecurity Services Group
Welcome to the Biosecurity Services Group, a division within DAFF. The Biosecurity Services Group integrates the functions of the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service; Biosecurity Australia; the biosecurity parts of Product Integrity, Animal and Plant Health division; and the Quarantine and Biosecurity Policy Unit. The new structure will lead to better service delivery along the biosecurity continuum (pre-border, border and post-border) and improved biosecurity risk management.

AQIS manages quarantine controls at our borders to minimise the risk of exotic pests and diseases entering the country. AQIS also provides import and export inspection and certification to help retain Australia’s highly favourable animal, plant and human health status and wide access to overseas export markets.
