This Management Plan gives in detail the procedures which should be followed to:

  • minimise the risk of introduction of pine pitch canker
  • detect it as soon as possible if it is introduced, and
  • respond to the incursion quickly and effectively.

The Plan follows the guidelines laid down in the general incursion management plan for Australia (Responding to Incursions: A Generic Incursion Management Plan for the Australian Forest Sector).
