ABARE Economic Studies on Locust Control

The Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE) produced a report in 2005 for the APLC detailing the economic costs and benefits of locust control in eastern Australia. The report analyses APLC control activities for the years 1999-2000 to 2004-2005. A supplementary study was released in January 2007, analysing the costs and benefits of control in one locust generation on the potential impacts of a subsequent second generation.
