Levies Online Pilot
The initial Pilot was carried out using a sample of selected levy payers located in the Melbourne Metropolitan office caseload. Approximately 20 levy payers of whom lodge Cattle & Livestock Transaction Levy returns and 20 levy payers of whom lodge Grain Levy returns were selected. The pilot was held between mid September till December 2007.
The selected levy payers included a range of sizes and complexity of businesses to provide adequate testing of the functionality and useability of the system.
The pilot required the lodgement of both an online and hard copy return to enable the Levies Online Project Team to verify all returns received. All participants were required to complete the Levies Online Survey after their first submission of an electronic lodgement. The surveys were used during the evaluation stage of the pilot to analyse the overall satisfaction of the client.
How does Levies Online work?
Levy payers will be able to register themselves to become an online levy payer. Once the online users are registered, they will receive a username and password to submit web based versions of the current levy forms.
Levy payers are then able to lodge returns, change account details and view previous returns. Levy payers will still be able to submit manual return forms.
Note: If you have never paid a levy before, please contact the Levies Revenue Services branch to apply.
