IT Managed Services Tender Online Industry Briefing for Vendors
The role of the Australian Government’s Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF), is to ensure Australia’s agricultural, fisheries, food and forestry industries remain competitive, profitable and sustainable. DAFF employs over 5000 staff and contractors at more than 300 sites across Australia.
DAFF contracted out IT Infrastructure services in 2000. This contract expires on 26 June 2009.
DAFF will be issuing a Request for Tender for the provision of managed Desktop, Desktop LAN, Midrange, Storage Area Network and Helpdesk services in early June 2008.
This online briefing was chosen to better suit the market in terms of accessibility, time and resource management.
Questions regarding the department’s intentions in relation to the Tendering Project will be allowed between 9 and 16 May 2008 and should be directed to icttender@icttender.daff.gov.au .
Questions at this stage of the RFT should be limited to issues surrounding the department’s strategy and process. Detailed questions regarding the services should be submitted during the formal Q&A process and/or during due diligence.
